Pearl Harbor: From Fishponds to Battleships

This program explored the early history of Pearl Harbor before the attack. Mr. Seiden provided a sweeping view of the region’s past from geological origins to fishpond days to the development of Pearl Harbor as a naval station and the eventual home of the Pacific Fleet.

: Allen Seiden - A writer, photographer and Hawaiian archivist and historian, Allen Seiden has lived in Hawaii since 1974. He is the recipient of two Ka’ahili awards for projects of cultural relevance from the State of Hawaii. His work has appeared in newspapers, magazines and books around the world. In 2001, Mr. Seiden authored From Fishponds: Pearl Harbor, a Complete Illustrated History.
