America in 1941: Strategies and War Plans

Professor Carpenter explored America’s global strategy and war plans as they stood in 1941. It was intended to give an insight as to what the President and his military advisors saw as the potential threats and solutions to the growing crisis of global war.

 

Speaker: Dr. Stanley D.M. Carpenter - Dr. Carpenter is a Professor of Strategy and Policy and Official Historian of the U.S. Naval War College. He is an internationally renowned expert on Britain in the Age of Fighting Sail and the British Civil Wars. Dr. Carpenter has appeared frequently on the History Channel providing commentary on such things as the Battle of Britain and WWII.
