Japan 1941: Why They Attacked

As the co-author of the epic work At Dawn We Slept, Professor Goldstein explained in detail why the Japanese government chose the road to war with the United States. As an often asked question, this program gave compelling reasons why the Japanese thought it was in their best interest to go to war.

 

Speaker: Dr. Donald M. Goldstein - Dr. Goldstein is the preeminent authority on the Pearl Harbor attack and he is the instrumental force and author of Gordon Prange’s numerous works on Pearl Harbor. Dr. Goldstein is a professor of history at the University of Pittsburgh. His monumental contribution was producing At Dawn We Slept.
