Wheeler Field on December 7, 1941. Home to P-40 and P-36 fighters of the 14th Pursuit Wing of the US Army Air Force, Wheeler Field came under concentrated attack from the Japanese seeking to eliminate air opposition on December 7, 1941. On December 3, 2006, the Oahu Attack Site Bus Tour will visit this and other historically important sites, where vestiges of the Japanese attack can still be seen.

Join historians, authors, and Pearl Harbor Surivors for an unforgettable bus tour of Oahu, December 7, 1941 attack sites. By special arrangement, the military sites on this tour, normally inaccessible due to security concerns, will welcome conference attendees who chose to register. Experience history firsthand at places that still bear the scars of World War II.

Meet world renowned authors and historians in a social setting amid exhibits showcasing Hawai'i's military history. Step upstairs to the rooftop garden, watch the stars and listen as the surf breaks on Waikiki Beach.

Gala Reception, Banquet, and Dance - $250 additional charge

The elegant black-tie reception, dinner, and dance will be the gala finale to the 65th Anniversary Symposium. Join Pearl Harbor Survivors for dinner at the Hilton Hawaiian Village's beautiful Coral Ballroom, then dance the night away to a wide variety of World War II music favorites. This premiere fundraising event benefits the Pearl Harbor Memorial Fund, the capital campaign raising money to rebuild the USS Arizona Memorial Visitor Center and Museum. Seating is limited, so don't miss your chance to join this festive evening.
