Everyday that I walked by the construction zone I would peek through the fence just to see how far the new Visitor Center was coming along, but you can only see so much through a hole in the fence. Last week Thursday, I had a chance to tag along on a VIP tour of the new Visitor Center, so I took the opportunity.
Here are some of the pictures:

Aloha e Ray:
I too am excited re the bookstore move in February and will be following your progress also, but as just a Pearl Harbor author, not as distinguished as Ernie. Am autographing PEARL HARBOR CHILD, and PEARL HARBOR WARRIORS books (yes also an unabashed plug) to ship to the new bookstore. Can’t wait to be there in December in person.
mahalo,

Hello Ernie,
Thanks for the comment. It’s nice to have such a distinguished author and historian visiting our humble website (unabashed plug). I’ll have to check with Watts about their camera; whether it’s down for a reason, such as maintenance, or if they just haven’t updated the photos because of their workload. We’re looking to move in to the new bookstore in the middle of February and Watts is working hard to make that happen. Hopefully the next time you return to sign books, it will be in front of our brand shiny new space. I’ll try to let everyone know what is happening on this blog when I find out next week.
Take care Ernie and thanks again…Ray
Aloha,
I have been following the construction progress on the Webb Construction link. I check it out every 2-3 days. It has been exciting watching the new visitor center grow. Since Dec. 22nd there has been no new up-dates. Is there a problem or just down for the Holidays?
Mahalo,
Ernie
