The Arizona Memorial Museum Association (AMMA) has joined with world-renowned museum audio tour specialist Antenna Audio to provide a state-of-the-art interpretive experience at the USS Arizona Memorial. With hand-held audio players using random-access digital technology, students will hear a descriptive narration accompanied by period music, quotes from Pearl Harbor Survivors and sound effects that actively involve them in the events that changed history. The tour provides 60 minutes of in-depth historical interpretation through the museum, the wayside exhibits, and on the Memorial itself.
Audio tours are available for $5 fee per MP3 player. For student groups only, splitters are available that allow two headsets to be plugged into one MP3 player, bringing the cost-per-student down to $2.50. Teachers and adult chaperones will be provided with complimentary audio tours. Payment may be made on the day of the group's visit through cash, check, or purchase order. No credit cards, please.
