The Arizona Memorial Museum Association continues to assemble the most reputable and useful resources available concerning the events and circumstances surrounding the USS Arizona Memorial, the War in the Pacific National Historical Park on Guam, the American Memorial Park on Saipan, and Kalaupapa National Historical Park on Moloka`i, Hawaii. The resources that follow will be posted on this website soon. Please return often for updates to this section.
For teachers, lesson plans on the Second World War and the Arizona Memorial have been developed in a variety of subject areas, at various grade levels. Care has been taken to align the lessons with accepted educational standards.
Also available soon will be text and media resources of historical value to anyone from the casual amateur to the serious scholar. Our Media Gallery already contains archival and contemporary photographs of supported National Parks. In the near future, topical videos, and an invaluable collection of eyewitness accounts will be included. The Resources section will also contain links to trustworthy on-line resources and a list of highly regarded texts for recommended reading. All the assembled resources have been developed or selected with one purpose in mind; to further AMMA’s mission to remember and to honor the sacrifice, courage, and sometimes tragic humanity shown by ordinary people caught in extraordinary circumstances.
